Training materials

The workshop objectives will be delivered through a combination of presentations, practical work around case studies, and a combination of group and individual work on examples from participant’s own settings. The workshops will be supported by resources, hosted by this website.

These resources include

• illustrated case studies and related exercises, which highlight key learning points,

• materials summarising important methodological approaches described and illustrated in a style that is appropriate to the range of professional backgrounds, and

• tools (for example illustrating presentation of indicators in ways that enhance communication and decision-making). 

The case studies will provide a basis for the demonstration of effective collection of relevant information, its analysis, presentation & application, with evidence on how decision-making and resource allocation has been influenced, and barriers overcome. Lessons from less effective practice will also be distilled and will form a key part of the material.
